Mutant Bass Records are back with another genre-pushing release from Hyperchord, with a remix from our resident wunderkind Hadean. Combining techno breakbeat and bassline to ear-pleasing effect, Hyperchords originals are good, but for my money Hadeans remix is the real killer on this release- incredibly heavy kicks and a rolling bassline=win!

The Broken Old Records Series is aptly named, each one being a bass-heavy remix of a song from days gone by. The Wanda Jackson remix is a favourite of mine, sounding like a Tarantino soundtrack that just discovered rave. Mr No Hands effortlessly blends 60s pop vocals, breakbeats and wobbly bass, and the whole EP is free to boot! Download it here.

This would have almost been worth covering just for the tunes themselves but in this case £20 gets you the project files and every audio sample, all constructed in Ableton Live 8 using just the built in plugins and NI Massive.
Includes 5 really rather decent tunes to delve into, learn from & remix covering Dubstep, Drumstep, Drum & Bass, Trap & 110bpm.

HEY YOU-BLOW YOUR WHISTLE! One of the biggest releases of last year (and, imo one of the best juke tunes of all time) finally gets released on Senseless Records. Lenkemz remix takes Traxman’s tune to the next level with some serious upfront sub, a carnival-style whistle lead and that vocal hook. An absolute steal for just £1.50, its a crime they didn’t release this one on vinyl!
