The latest release from the Bass Hound camp sees Thorpey’s bassline smasher Damage being remixed by the likes of Deadbeat (who provides an interesting grime influenced take on it) Krissi B (turns it into a dark, industrial bassline banger) Dr Cryptic (a nice 4×4 roller) and Samplejunkie (breaking out a mental acid/amen filled beast) with a VIP version thrown in for good measure. Chrissy Muderbots hyper take on juke and booty bass have become a trademark of his, and this new EP on Hyperboloid Records doesn’t disappoint. Combining frenetic footwork with jungle and oldskool rave music, this should please fans of both old and new styles of bass heavy music. Calculon & Austin Speed round off the EP with a tough dnb style remix of the title track, which oddly drops down to house midway through.
